here i am with one of my new living partners. she is really into this spot on the chair these days. this cat only likes one kind of cat food and is really fluffy (more than you can see in this picture). we got moved in and have been intensely setting the place up. so many plants. an interior jungle. i am loving it.

just got back from a late birthday celebration for clea in olympia. had some good mellow times with her parents and bro. spent time with olympia friends, ate out a lot and walked around downtown. went to this place, SIZIZIS, for the first time. (i stole this picture)
it is a new 24 hour coffee/tea shop. i must say i was floored by the set up. amazing, simple and gothic in the way i like things to be. i wouldn't really come here on a sunny day, but at night, it is the best. i read they will be carrying my employers coffee (stumptown) in the near future and will be the first in olympia. it was reported the night we arrived that they were hosting an acoustic death metal show.
in his truck, on our way to olympia, "patient" patrick allowed us to stop at a yard sale right by clea's house and we picked up an old metal table will will use for the dining room and a giant old dark wood abacus will will use to divide bills and keep score during intense games of pictionary. no we will just look at it... pictures of the place to come. tomorrow is the big official moving day. moving the big stuff. then the fun of setting it up.

so to my surprise and most of those around me, the sun is out and it feels like a nice spring day. still preparing to move. saw the movie milk the other night at the $3 theater and loved it. thanks to my friend tim, i discovered that it is josh brolin as dan white and not matt dillon. i thought it was matt dillon in no country for old men and the goonies too. now when i look at photos of the two, i don't know how i have been so oblivious.

so the surprise trip to long beach, wa in early celebration of clea's birthday was quite successful. the most elaborate situation i have ever organized. here are those in attendance for the weekend that was certainly an awesome time. sadly, heather and curtis left before this photo was taken.
so now on to the next step in my life. i need to begin packing for my move. between that and working more, i have not and don't forsee a lot of time and energy expended on creative works. that better change soon after.
